What We Do

Everyone has the right to read and sign documents they understand. At Simply Stated you upload your document, and we rewrite and reformat it so it is clear, accessible and understandable to the majority of the population. Our goal is to eliminate confusion so readers do not have to seek clarification elsewhere.

We do this by:

  • Using plain language
While some legal, medical, or other complex terms may need to stay, we explain them in a simple, easy-to-understand way.

  • Simplifying formatting
Dense or complex formatting makes reading difficult. We clean it up using bold test to highlight key ideas, clear headings, bullets points, and white space for ease of reading.

  • Eliminating unnecessary words
Many documents repeat the same ideas in different way. We keep it direct and to the point.

The revised document you receive is a suggested version. It is still your document. You are free to accept, modify, or edit our changes. If we unintentionally shift the meaning of something, let us know. We will revise it for accuracy and clarity.

Understanding the Role of the Pancreas
The pancreas is a powerhouse organ located deep within your abdomen. Its main functions are to produce enzymes that aid digestion and hormones such as insulin that regulate blood sugar levels. When this delicate balance is disrupted due to inflammation, infection, or other ailments, it can lead to a host of alarming symptoms. Understanding how your pancreas operates can be vital in recognizing when something isn't right.

Common Yet Overlooked Symptoms
Many individuals may experience symptoms linked to pancreatic dysfunction yet dismiss them as minor inconveniences. Persistent abdominal pain, especially in the upper region or radiating towards your back, nausea, and unexplained weight loss could be indicators of potential pancreatitis or even pancreatic cancer. These signs are often mistaken for gastrointestinal issues like indigestion or irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), leading to dangerous delays in diagnosis.

Simply Stated Version:

The pancreas is an organ in your abdomen (stomach). The pancreas makes enzymes to break down the food you eat and helps with your blood sugar. Swelling (inflammation), infection, or other illness can cause your pancreas not to work correctly. It may feel like a constant upset stomach or irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), but it could be a sign of more serious problem. Contact your healthcare team if you feel:

  • Steady pain in the upper part of your abdomen that may be felt towards your back,

  • Nausea or vomiting, and

  • Weight loss without trying.
